This is a very unfortunate story. It took place by the canal and my family and I were walking to town. Now imagine a really cold day, everyone wearing coats, hats and gloves, huddling together to try and keep warm. Now when the temperature is really cold, water turns to ice, right? Well, we'd just arrived in England, and because I'd spent my whole life in warm, sunny places, this was a time of wonder for my siblings and I. My parents were quite far behind so my siblings and I stopped to wait for them. I was curious about the ice so I knelt down to try and touch it. Unfortunately, my coat has inside pockets and it wasn't zipped up all the way. So when I leaned over to touch the ice, my phone slipped out of my pocket and fell onto the ice. Now it only took a split second for my phone to fall out of my pocket, but you know in situations like this, your brain and either comprehend something really fast or extremely slow. Of course, my brain being my brain, it didn't understand what was happening until it had already happened. So I tried to reach out for my phone, but alas I obviously had no luck, otherwise I wouldn't be telling this story right now. So I thought that the ice was hard enough that my phone just might have the luck to fall onto it and maybe I could reach down and grab it. However, this was not the case. The ice was too thin and my phone too heavy. I watched as my phone broke through the ice and plunged into the freezing cold water, sinking all the way to the bottom. I have heart broken. All my photos were on there and I hadn't lost or broken anything in forever. I was so shocked I didn't know what to do. All I could do was sit there, staring at the place where it had fallen through. .( ̵˃﹏˂̵ )
And so the moral of the story is don't lean over something until you know how strong it is. Keep staying beautiful!
Love ya! (๑・ω-)~♥
